Bio

The best years of my life growing up was to spend my summers on the countryside. It’s a really special place to me, to feel the fresh, clean breeze in my hair, hear the streams in the trees and hear the waves from the water makes me calm and inspired. It’s a place with a lot of ancient history and beautiful nature, I like to walk through the farm lands along with the horses and walk my way down to the beach to take in the sunshine and feel harmonized. That place is Gotland, my kind of Tennessee. This place to me is the search on my backdrop for my melodic and down tempo lyrics that provides hope and motivation. When I’m at Gotland it feels like I’ve come home. My grandfather is from that Island and my father used to spend his summers there growing up so it has always been a place where my whole family feels safe and likes to relax and get away from the city vibe. A place to feel peace and harmony.

Elanor is a Swedish country music singer/songwriter currently based in Los Angeles. She’s currently working on her debut EP. This EP is about Elanor finding her sound, about being a female country singer/songwriter, but still the sound of finding the elements of her roots. One of her songs, on the EP, which will be released as her debut single - “Coming Home”. It’s about being able to leave her safe life back in Sweden, and how she moved across the world to Los Angeles, CA. She was able to learn and grow as a singer/songwriter and that it’s never too late to live your dream. “This song is like a baby to me, this is the first song I wrote on my own and it means a lot, still trying to hold back my tears every time I hear or sing it”, she says. Elanor wants her music to be relatable and wants people to feel the connection to her songs even if they’re not typically country music fans. Her songs on her debut EP are about her life experiences, heartbreaks, the feelings of being in love and breaking free from old habits.

Elanor also gets her inspiration from a lot of different kinds of music. One of her favorite things to do is to go to concerts to get inspiration. She’s been to all different kinds of concerts from Dolly Parton to U2, as well as Rihanna, Beyoncé and Bruce Springsteen. She also likes going to small venues (especially to listen to country singers). She feels you get closer to the artist, it’s more intimate and you get a closer connection to the artist and their stories.

Elanor hasn’t always been into the country genre of her music. It all started when she got handed Loretta Lynn’s “You Ain’t Woman Enough” from her vocal teacher in High School. In that moment she knew that this was the kind of music she wanted to explore and perform. She really loves the storytelling part in country music, how an artist can tell a story in melodic ways and with harmonies. An example of this is when Miranda Lambert sings about broken hearts, love and sadness. Elanor does the same. But it wasn’t until recently she started to write songs on her own. “I’m so excited to show the world what I have been working on since I got to Los Angeles”, she says. And the world doesn’t have to wait for too long. She's releasing her debut single "Coming Home" November 8th.
